It’s ability to make even the roughest of cuts and the ugliest of edges look smooth and well designed are second to none. Not even the best coat of perfectly tinted paint can match the cover-up-ability of the unsung hero of home interior decoration: Trim.
When we bought our little ranch we already knew that the floors in all of the bedroom had an odd space between the floorboards and the wall. These spaces, wide enough to fit a pencil in some spots, were irritating and ugly. All it took was about 3 hours, a mitre saw and a little determination and voila! Goodbye unseemly seems!
EDIT: curtains really help too.
